By creating an account or using https://syllox.in or the Syllox application ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

These terms form a binding agreement between you and Syllox, operated from India.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Syllox. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or guardian's permission to use the Service and to make any paid purchases.

You must provide a valid Indian mobile number to sign up via OTP. By providing your number, you consent to receive SMS messages from us for authentication and transactional purposes.

You are responsible for keeping your account secure. Don't share your OTP, password, or session cookie with anyone.

One person, one account. Creating multiple accounts to abuse free tiers, evade bans, or manipulate the community is prohibited.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.

You agree NOT to: (a) harass, threaten, or impersonate other users; (b) post illegal, hateful, sexual, or harmful content; (c) share paid coaching material, copyrighted books, or pirated content; (d) spam the community feed or messaging features; (e) scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt the Service; (f) use Syllox AI to generate content that violates exam-board rules.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension, removal of content, and — for serious cases — permanent ban with no refund.

Syllox offers a free tier with core features: syllabus tracking, study timer, basic reports, and your personal dashboard.

Premium unlocks: Syllox AI doubt-solver (with a daily usage cap), community feed, 1-on-1 messaging, profile pictures, and priority support.

We reserve the right to change which features sit behind the premium tier with at least 14 days' notice.

Premium plans are billed monthly (₹59) or yearly (₹399) via Razorpay in Indian Rupees. All taxes (GST) where applicable are included in the displayed price.

Your subscription begins immediately on successful payment. Premium does NOT auto-renew unless you opt in; otherwise your access continues until the end of the paid period and reverts to the free tier.

Refund policy: due to the digital, immediately-consumable nature of the Service, we do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial-month usage. However, we will provide a full refund within 7 days of purchase if you have not used any premium feature (no AI messages, no community posts, no messaging). Email syllox.in@gmail.com to request a refund.

If a payment fails or is reversed (chargeback), we will suspend premium access until the issue is resolved.

Disclaimer: Razorpay handles all payment processing. We do not store your card or UPI details. Payment-related disputes are subject to Razorpay's terms in addition to these Terms.

Syllox AI is an educational aid powered by large language models. It can be wrong, hallucinate facts, or give outdated information. ALWAYS cross-check important answers with NCERT textbooks or your teacher.

Don't use Syllox AI to cheat on online exams, copy answers verbatim into homework, or violate your coaching institute's academic-integrity policies. We are not liable for any disciplinary action you face from misuse.

Premium users are subject to a daily message quota (currently 50/day). The quota resets at midnight IST.

Community posts and direct messages are between users. We do NOT pre-screen content but reserve the right to remove anything that violates these Terms.

Don't share other users' personal information (phone numbers, addresses, photos) without consent. Don't solicit, harass, or spam.

Reports of misconduct: email syllox.in@gmail.com with a screenshot and the offending user's username. We act within 24 hours.

Syllox, the Syllox logo, the website, and the application are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without written permission.

Content you post (community posts, comments, messages, AI prompts) remains yours. By posting, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, and process that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime but offer no guarantee. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (Atlas, Fast2SMS, Razorpay), or force-majeure events may cause downtime.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. For paid features, we'll either issue a pro-rated refund or extend your subscription if the change is material.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that using Syllox will improve your exam performance, rank, or any specific outcome.

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for: lost study data due to user error, content posted by other users, third-party service outages, indirect or consequential damages.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings or by emailing syllox.in@gmail.com.

We may terminate your account for violations of these Terms, illegal activity, or extended inactivity (over 24 months).

Upon termination: your data is deleted within 30 days. Active premium subscriptions are not refunded unless the termination was caused by us.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced in-app or via email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance.
