By creating an account or using https://syllox.in or the Syllox application (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These terms form a binding agreement between you and Syllox, operated from India.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Syllox. If you are under 18, you must have a parent's or guardian's permission to use the Service and to make any paid purchases.

You must have a valid Google account to sign in. Syllox uses Google Sign-In as its sole authentication method.

You are responsible for keeping your account secure. Don't share your Google credentials or session token with anyone.

One person, one account. Creating multiple accounts to abuse free tiers, evade bans, manipulate the community feed, manipulate the leaderboards, or stack premium trials is prohibited.

You are responsible for the content you post, the messages you send, the mock tests you log, and the doubts you submit to Syllox AI.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without prior notice, as described in Section 13.

Syllox offers a free plan with core productivity features: syllabus tracking (subjects + chapters), the study stopwatch, daily targets, basic dashboards, mock test logging, dark/light themes, your personal study analytics, and silent background tracking of streaks and achievement progress. Achievement badges and the full leaderboard view are unlocked when you have premium access (paid or trial).

Free-plan users see the same UI as premium users; features that require premium will display an upgrade prompt when accessed.

Free plan has fair-use chapter and mock test limits which may be adjusted from time to time. These limits never apply during the 30-Day Premium Trial.

Every new Syllox account automatically receives a 30-day Premium Trial. The trial is granted at signup with no card or payment required.

During the trial you have full access to all premium features: Syllox AI doubt-solver, mock test analytics, score prediction, community feed posting, friend requests, 1-on-1 messaging, custom themes, profile pictures, achievement badge tracking (24 badges across 4 categories), full Weekly / Monthly / All-Time leaderboards, and any other feature behind the premium gate.

The trial expires automatically at the end of the 30-day window. There is no auto-charge, no card on file, and no cancellation step required.

After the trial expires, your account reverts to the free plan. Your data (subjects, sessions, mock tests, achievements, posts, etc.) is preserved — only the premium-gated actions and UI surfaces become unavailable until you subscribe. Previously-earned achievement badges and your streak counter are never deleted; they re-appear in your UI the moment premium is reactivated.

Founder's Reward (legacy): accounts created before the Jun 2026 campaign cutoff received an additional +20 days on top of the welcome trial, applied automatically as a one-time grant.

Trial access is granted once per account. We may, in our sole discretion, restrict or revoke trial access if we detect abuse (e.g. multiple accounts from one user).

Two paid plans are available, billed in Indian Rupees via Razorpay:

• Monthly Premium — ₹49 per month. Premium access for 30 days from the date of payment.

• Yearly Premium — ₹299 per year. Premium access for 365 days from the date of payment.

All applicable taxes (GST) where required by Indian law are included in the displayed price.

Premium access is activated immediately upon successful payment. Premium does NOT auto-renew — you will not be charged again unless you initiate a new purchase from the Premium page.

Premium benefits and the set of features behind the premium tier may change as the product evolves. We will announce material changes at least 14 days in advance via in-app notification or email.

Active premium (paid OR within the 30-day trial OR within an applied Founder's Reward extension) currently unlocks: Syllox AI doubt-solver (with a daily fair-use limit, currently 50 messages per day, resetting at midnight IST), unlimited mock test logging with full analytics and score prediction, community feed posting and commenting, friend requests, 1-on-1 messaging, custom themes, profile pictures, the Achievements dashboard (24 badges across Study Hours, Streak, Chapters, and Mock Tests categories with rarity tiers and progress tracking), the full Weekly / Monthly / All-Time leaderboards with rank navigation, and priority support.

Achievement badges are permanently earned — once unlocked they remain on your account even if your premium subsequently expires. Leaderboard rank and achievement counts continue to update silently for all users (premium and free) in the background; only the UI surfaces are premium-gated.

The premium feature scope, daily AI quota, leaderboard sizing, and other limits may be updated as the product evolves. We will not silently downgrade your active subscription — material reductions will be communicated 14 days in advance.

All Premium purchases on Syllox are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Due to the digital, immediately-consumable nature of Syllox Premium subscriptions, all purchases are final. Users are strongly encouraged to use the 30-Day Premium Trial to evaluate every premium feature before purchasing a subscription. Refunds will only be considered where required by applicable Indian law.

If a payment fails, is duplicated due to a payment-gateway error, or is reversed (chargeback), please contact syllox.in@gmail.com within 7 days of the transaction with your Razorpay order ID and we will investigate.

Disputes related to payment processing are subject to Razorpay's terms in addition to these Terms.

You agree NOT to: (a) harass, threaten, doxx, or impersonate other users; (b) post illegal, hateful, sexual, or harmful content; (c) share paid coaching material, copyrighted books, private answer keys, or pirated content; (d) spam the community feed, comments, or messaging features; (e) scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt the Service or its APIs; (f) use Syllox AI to generate content that violates academic-integrity policies of any exam board, college, or coaching institute; (g) use multiple accounts to evade limits or bans, or to stack trials.

Violations may result in immediate content removal, account suspension, or — for serious or repeated cases — permanent ban with no refund of any active premium subscription.

The community feed and direct messages are designed to help aspirants support and motivate each other. Keep posts study-related, encouraging, and respectful.

Don't share other users' personal information (phone numbers, addresses, photos, screenshots of their private messages) without explicit consent.

Don't post commercial advertisements, affiliate links, or solicit users to leave the platform.

Reports of misconduct: email syllox.in@gmail.com with a screenshot and the offending user's username. We aim to act within 24 hours.

Syllox AI is an educational aid powered by large language models. It can be wrong, hallucinate facts, misremember formulas, or provide outdated information.

ALWAYS cross-check important answers with NCERT textbooks, official syllabus material, or your teacher before relying on them in an exam or assignment.

Do not use Syllox AI to cheat on online exams, copy answers verbatim into graded homework, or violate your coaching institute's academic-integrity policies. We are not liable for any disciplinary action you face due to misuse.

AI conversations are stored to your account so you can revisit them. You can delete individual conversations from the Syllox AI page at any time.

We aim for high uptime but offer no specific availability guarantee. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (MongoDB Atlas, Razorpay, Google OAuth, our LLM provider), or force-majeure events may cause temporary downtime.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. For paid features, we will not silently reduce material scope — see Sections 6 and 7.

The Service is provided over the public internet and depends on your device, browser, and network. We do not guarantee delivery of every reminder email or every push notification in real-time.

Predictions, score forecasts, analytics, achievement progress, streak counters, and leaderboard rankings are statistical estimates and aggregations based on the data you log. They are not guarantees of exam outcomes.

You may permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone. Deletion is immediate and irreversible — see our Privacy Policy for the full list of data removed.

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without prior notice, if: (a) you violate these Terms, (b) you engage in fraud, abuse, or spam, (c) we receive a credible report of harassment or other misconduct, (d) your payment is reversed or charged back, or (e) your account is inactive for over 24 consecutive months.

Termination by us due to a Terms violation forfeits any active premium subscription with no refund. See Section 8.

Syllox, the Syllox logo, the website, the application, and all associated designs are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without prior written permission.

Content you create within the Service (community posts, comments, messages, AI prompts, your subjects/chapters/mock test data) remains yours. By posting in the community feed or sending a message, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, store, and process that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that using Syllox will improve your rank, your exam score, or any specific outcome.

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three (3) months preceding the claim, or ₹500, whichever is lower.

We are not liable for: lost study data caused by user error or device failure; content posted by other users; third-party service outages; indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

We may update these Terms occasionally as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app or via email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
